About the NVBR

NVBR is your gateway to the state and national REALTOR® associations and your resource for day-to-day information and support in your career as a real estate professional. Building on the long-established policies of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), NVBR provides opportunities for ongoing professional development through the following services:

Professional Standards – following the established NAR guidelines, we work cooperatively with other local Boards to provide assistance to our members, their clients, and the general public in addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting greater understanding and professionalism.

Education – keeping pace with the ever-changing world of real estate and associated technology, we strive to bring pertinent information to our members through classes, special presentations, and resource materials.

Networking – with varied opportunities available on a monthly basis, we encourage members to join with others in their profession, as well as from related businesses, to receive the support and recognition they require and deserve to continue to excel in their professional endeavors.

Community Involvement – with enthusiastic committee planning, NVBR reaches out to the community through ongoing service projects that allow members to make a difference in our hometowns.

Public Relations – through local publications, we proudly promote the activities of our association and members to encourage wider recognition of the value of our members' talents, experience, and expertise.

Multiple Listing Service – open to qualified firms throughout the state and beyond, our Vermont Real Estate Information Network (VREIN) serves as a storehouse and disseminator of information for subscriber contact, available properties and market statistics, as well extended marketing opportunities (e.g. public sites, Internet Data Exchange, Virtual Office Websites), through contracts with respected service providers in our industry.

Communications – utilizing e-mail, web site postings, system messaging, faxes, telephone calls, and mailed notices, we do our best to keep our members informed of association happenings and important news affecting the real estate industry.

Leadership – working with a competent and caring staff, NVBR's elected volunteer leaders strive to keep members' best interests at heart as they direct day-to-day activities of the organization.

Facilities – our spacious offices provide meeting and conference rooms, as well as access to resource materials that can help members enhance their industry knowledge and skills.
