NVBR and the Vermont Association of REALTORS® will host the NAR Green Designation Core Course on May 24-25 at the NVBR 
office in Williston.

NAR's Green Designation gives you the tools you need to guide clients through buying, selling or building in the sustainable marketplace. To earn your designation you must complete the Core Course and one of the following electives: Residential, Commerical or Property Management

  • Explain to your clients what makes a home building or property clean
  • List and market green properties
  • Implement green practices into your life
  • Determine the energy efficiency of a property

About the Instructor

Rich Gardner
Gardner & Gardner REALTORS®

Rich is a native Vermonter who grew up in a family that has been involved in Vermont's real estate industry for decades. Rich earned a degree in Architectural Engineering and Building Technology from Vermont Technical College, and has worked as a general contractor on custom homes, and as a liaison for Efficiency Vermont on more than 50 housing projects. Gardner Construction Company was named 2009 Builder of the Year by the Homebuildler's and Remodeler's Association of Northern Vermont.

Rich is currently a REALTOR® with Gardner & Gardner REALTORS® in Colchester. He serves as Treasurer for the Northwestern Vermont Board of REALTORS®.
