What is Required of me?
For my License: Within 90 days of licensing, you must complete and submit 8 hours of approved continuing education credits. Please note you are issued a temporary 90 day license that will expire if you do not complete the education & submit to the Real Estate Commission (see instructions below). After completing your initial 8 hours of post licensure education, you will be required to complete 16 hours of approved continuing education, 4 of which must include the Vermont mandatory class (keep your eyes out for this class offering). License renewals run every 2 years and all Real Estate Salespersons are on the same schedule. The last cycle ended 5/31/18 so the next renewal cycle will be 5/31/20 REGARDLESS of when you received your license. For specific questions regarding your license, contact the Real Estate Commission: 802-828-3228 or Judith.email@example.com
For my Realtor® Membership: You must complete a code of ethics class & a New Agent Orientation class within 180 days of joining an Association. Then taking a code of ethics course is required every 2 years. The current cycle started 1/1/19 and will end 12/31/20. When you take your code of ethics class forward your certificate to us so we can update your file! Send certificates to Karissa@vtrealestate.com
Dues: When you join NVBR you pay your membership dues for the fiscal year Jan-Dec, at a prorated rate depending on when you joined. To remain an active Realtor® member you must renew by paying these dues annually. Membership dues are billed annually in advance (Oct) REGARDLESS of when you joined. You should expect your annual dues bill October 1st via email & you can pay through the member portal.
Questions Regarding: Licensing, License renewal, License transfer. *Please note it is the responsibility of the individual agent to keep track of your continuing education (CE) credits. NVBR only tracks code of ethics courses.*
