August’s Lunch and Learn will look a little different – you can earn 1 CE credit! Our speaker will present via Zoom as she is based in Washington state, and NVRA will stream the presentation in the conference room during lunch.

Have you ever worked with a client with hoarding disorder? This one-hour course is an introduction to hoarding disorder for laypeople, not medical or support professionals. It teaches about hoarding disorder using as little confusing medical jargon, references to brain scans or tons of statistics as possible. The course examines the characteristics of the mental illness; why hoarding is such a challenging disorder; what financial and physical risks a REALTOR® takes on when attempting to sell a hoarded structure; some tools a real estate professional can use to interact with a person with hoarding behaviors, and supplies resources for working with people with hoarding challenges.

Instructor Lauren Williams is a Certified Professional Organizer®, Certified Virtual Professional Organizer®, and the founder of Casual Uncluttering, based in Woodinville, Washington. Her work centers compassion, humor, and outside-the-box solutions for unique clients. Learn more about Lauren at casualuncluttering.com.

To be eligible for CE credits, you must be present for the entire session, sign in and out with NVRA staff, and complete a course evaluation.
