Last week, NVBR and more than 1,200 real estate professionals participated in the three-hour webinar SMMCamp 6 - Mobile Marketing for Real Estate. Ross Hair, an expert in social media for real estate professionals, explained the importance of mobile technologies: "We are not too far away from the day when your mobile device will be your primary communication, productivity and entertainment tool."
In one of the sessions, Tech Savvy Agent's Co-founder Chris Smith provided a must-have smart phone/iPad apps for agents. Please note that most of these apps are available on iPhones, iPads and any smart phone running Android. This APP provides mobile real estate listings and the QR codes to to direct people to them. Print these QR codes on your marketing material and share them on social media sites. More

2. Yelp! - Augmented Reality
Allows users to get information on whatever is in front of them. You can add information or videos to a property address. Anyone with the Yelp! APP can stand in fron of a listing, hold out their phone and instantly get information on that property. More
3. Google Maps
Google Maps has a feature called WalkAround Jack, that allows users to get a ground-level view of a particular address. The user can actually move themselves down the street, panning the properties around them. Information on properties can be added for users to see when they have that property in their view. More
4. UStream
Hold a live, virtual open house. With UStream, you can walk around a property and discuss its features. Set it up in advance, post the URL to your social media sites and websites, and viewers can come along with you for a streaming open house. More
5. KeyNote (ipad and iphone only)
KeyNote is the Mac version of PowerPoint, and is available on iPhones and iPads. KeyNote allows you to make beautiful client presentations from any location. You can also create property information sheets and let your clients thumb through them on your iPad while you walk around a property. More
6. SlyDial
This APP is for when you have information to provide someone, but you don't necessarily want to get caught in a 20-minute conversation. Using SlyDial, you are autmatically transferred into the person's mobile voicemail, without their phone ringing. More
7. Realtor.com
With 1.5 million APP downloads, this one is a must-have for REALTORS®. Not only can you search listings based on a specific address, you can also go to the map feature and draw an area on the map with your fingers. No matter how irregular the shape, the APP will only find listings in that area. More
8. DocuSign
You can provide documents and obtain legally binding signatures on listing agreements or any other type of documents right from your phone or iPad. More
