Coming in Early 2012!
|
New InnoVia Listing Maintenanceinterface (LM3K). Slated to be implemented in early 2012, this will provide significantly improved listing entry/maintenance screens in terms of organization and clarity. Stay tuned for more details and an expected launch date.
Listing Cart Link - For easier access, a link to "My Listing Cart" in the upper right corner of InnoVia will be added. The new shopping cart link will display the number of listings currently in your cart. The Listing Cart allows you to temporarily store listings from multiple searches in a central location. You can then email or print these listings at the same time using multiple displays, even if they are different property types.

| Support for IDX via FTP ends on December 31, 2012 |
MarketLinx has provided notice that the FTP-based IDX data feed option will be discontinued at the end of 2012. Other current IDX delivery and display options, including RETS and SQL-based IDX data feeds, as well as framed-link IDX options, will continue to be supported.
MarketLinx advises that FTP (File Transfer Protocol) flat-file delivery is a dated technology, prone to transmission errors, coordination problems, recipient capacity limits and availability issues - especially with increasingly large file sizes. Flat files also do not support security measures such as image tagging or data seeding.
Among customizable IDX data feed options, MarketLinx programmers recommend the RETS option. Support for the RETS standard has become nearly ubiquitous within the real estate vendor community, especially following the National Association of Realtors® 2008 requirement that all MLSs provide RETS server capability. Vendors and users can use RETS to update data on their schedule and fetch only the listings that have changed (incremental updates).Security measures will be easily incorporated within the upcoming RETS release.

Down Payment Resource (DPR) - Recorded Training Webinars now Available!
|

Down Payment Resource (DPR) is an online tool that alerts consumers and agents to funded homebuyer assistance programs via an icon on potentially qualifying Residential (Residential, Condo, Mobile/Mfd) and Multi-family properties. Listings within these property types are compared nightly to the DPR program database and updated accordingly. The DPR program is integrated with InnoVia, incorporated on the MLS public websitewww.nneren.com, and is also available for IDX participants to add to IDX sites (framed link IDX displays already incorporate DPR icons).
If you were not able to attend the January 23rd DPR webinar titled "Down Payment Resource Features: Crash Course and Q&A", you can review the recording byclicking here.

Dear Melissa,
Happy New Year from all of us at NNEREN! The year ahead brings some exciting new InnoVia system enhancements including a new look to listing entry and maintenance later in Q1, a revised CMA component in Q2, and an update to mobile-enabled InnoVia that will also be optimized for tablet use!
There is a new field being added to listing maintenance called "Foreclosed Bank-Owned REO" which will become mandatory March 1st.
Down Payment Resource - the recently-added NNEREN tool which alerts consumers and agents to homebuyer assistance programs on individual listing displays - offers lead generation for members' IDX websites and other online marketing options. Review the webinars below to learn more.
CoreLogic MarketLinx (provider of NNEREN's InnoVia system) has announced that at the end of this year they will no longer offer the FTP delivery method for your IDX website. Vermont IDX participants: If you currently receive an FTP feed, please be sure to contact NNEREN or MarketLinx about preferred options for getting listing content for your IDX website.
Please also remember that NNEREN is on Facebook, so be sure to "Like" us! Be sure to also take the time to stay updated on discussions at the NNEREN BOD by reviewing the BOD Talking Points each month.
Lastly, join Dennis Power, NNEREN's dedicated InnoVia trainer for an online training session covering the basics in a "New Agent InnoVia Training" webinar. This is a great class for those new to the InnoVia system or users who simply want a refresher on entering a listing and searching the system. Be sure to also review the other online training webinars being offered in February.
Sincerely,
NNEREN

Recent InnoVia Enhancements
The following changes have been made to InnoVia during the last month:
"Apx Ttl SqFt Below Grd" is now a mandatory field when entering a newlisting.
The InnoVia Market Pulse Report has been disabled. While the Market Pulse report was intended to provide a quick snapshot of closed transactions by month, the nature of the report - it keys from the system entry date of a closed transaction, rather than the actual reported date of closing - caused it to reflect different results from other sales reports. In addition, listings which were updated after being closed were counted as multiple transactions in some instances.
Please note that other InnoVia statistical reports, such as the Monthly Statistics report, which is used to generate the county and statewide sales reported monthly on NNEREN.com, remain available for members` use.
A New "PDF Upload (Document Maintenance/Attachments)" tool was added in January. This prominent enhancement includes the ability to select "Private" by individual attachment (note: "Private" attachments are still visible to MLS members, but are not visible as a link from customer displays). You now also select the name of the attachment before you upload it.
We have received some great feedback on desired further enhancements to the new PDF upload including the ability to still do a bulk upload of all attachments at once, and for a "select all" option to make all "Private". More to follow on these suggestions.
Coming Soon:
NAR has recently authorized MLSs to require participants to disclose if a listed property is a foreclosure, bank-owned, or real estate owned ("REO"). Consequently, the NNEREN BOD has approved the addition of a new field for "Foreclosed Bank-Owned REO". Listing agents will simply select "Yes" or "No "; completion of this field will be mandatory on new listings beginning March 1st.
The following definition of "Foreclosed Bank-Owned REO" will be incorporated within InnoVia help menus: "Any property that, as a result of the foreclosure process, a bank or lender has acquired the right to convey, or which a bank or lender has acquired in any fashion, including by means of a foreclosure deed, a deed in lieu of foreclosure, or other conveyance of ownership in accordance with applicable law."
As always, we appreciate your suggestions and feedback. If you have suggestions for additional enhancements, please emailsuggestions@nneren.com.

InnoVia Fax-to-PDF Change Effective January 1st.
Offices that wish to continue to use the Fax-to-PDF service will need to enable this option through a new selection in InnoVia firm maintenance. Brokers can now change the Fax-to-PDF setting from "No" to "Yes" and the service will be available to users within their office for a cost of $.17 per page, which will be billed to the office.

IDX Address Y/N Field in Listing Maintenance
What happens when you select IDX Address = "No"? The street number and street name of that listing will not:
However, the property address will be included in "VOW" and "3rd Party/Barrier" data feeds provided to member websites where consumer registration is required prior to viewing listings, and may be included on other non-member websites if you elect to send your listings to those websites either directly or through ListHub syndication service. Also note that, for sold listings, the address information will appear on www.nneren.com as part of a limited property display, and may appear on member IDX websites.
Please contact the NNEREN office with any questions at (603) 228-9733 or email

Reminder: Withdrawn Handling
Please recall that Section 4.9 of the NNEREN rules was updated in April to reflect new handling of a listing in the "Withdrawn" status.
The rule states:
"The listing broker may withdraw listings of property temporarily or cancel listings from NNEREN before the expiration date of the listing agreement, provided the broker has received written authorization from the seller/lessor. If the cancelled listing becomes active status again with the same listing firm within thirty (30) days of a cancellation, the listing must be reactivated under the same MLS number. A Withdrawn listing, which by definition indicates that a current listing agreement remains in place, must always be reactivated under the same MLS number. If the listing is improperly entered as new, NNEREN may remove it from the database."
Please contact the NNEREN office with any questions at (603) 228-9733 or email rules@nneren.com.
