Government Affairs
Chair: George Gamache
The Government Affairs Committee deals with issues on a local level such as sustainable housing, land records maintenance, and local regulatory issues. In addition, the Committee gives feedback to the Vermont Association of REALTORS® regarding statewide legislative and regulatory issues.
Education
Chair: Annemarie Daniels
As leaders in their profession, REALTORS® are required to complete continuing education classes aimed at keeping them informed about market trends, issues and more. NVBR’s education committee develops programs that help REALTORS® meet education requirements and take advantage of opportunities to advance their career.
Community Service
Chair: Jan Battaline
NVBR's REALTOR® members are committed to building strong, sustainable communities. This commitment is demonstrated through monthly community outreach programs and generous financial contributions to local organizations. The NVBR Community Service committee works with members to raise awareness about community issues and provide financial and other resources to improve the quality of life for Vermonters.
Grievance
Chair: Carol Audette
The Grievance Committee reviews complaints brought to the Association for Code of Ethics or Professional Standards violations.
Leadership Development
Chair: David Furney
The Leadership Development Committee addresses local leadership development. The committee oversees NVBR's Leadership Development Program, and identifies potential leaders for local and statewide offices.
Professional Standards
Chair: Barbara Trousdale
The Professional Standards Committee works to enforce the Code of Ethics. It also participates in arbitration hearings presented to the Grievance Committee. Training is required to be a member of this committee.
Young Professionals Network
Chair: Jessie Cook
This group, largely formed by REALTORS® under the age of 40, acts as a networking group for younger real estate professionals. In addition to social networking, the group provides feedback and recommendations to NVBR on ways to engage young REALTORS® in the organization.
