Help us 'Rebuild Together' on June 12






 

Rebuilding Together Greater Burlington is looking for carpenters, roofers and window installers help Saturday, June 12th, 2010 for two different projects.

Burlington, Vermont Project:
This project will help a family with a disabled dad and several foster children maintain their home and make it accessible for the father. The project entails building an accessible ramp, window and door repairs or replacement and general maintenance items. Skilled and semi-skilled Volunteers are needed. Skilled and semi-skilled volunteers are asked to bring their own carpentry tools. Please be sure to mark your tools with your name and come dressed appropriately for the task you'll be doing (old clothes recommended). Rebuilding Together will provide tee shirts, and the Sunrise Rotary will provide breakfast snacks and coffee and lunch.

Winooski, Vermont Project:
This project will help a widowed senior citizen living alone remain safe, warm and independent in her home. This project entails a new roof, energy efficient window installations, structural work at the front porch, general carpentry repairs etc. Skilled and semi-skilled volunteers are needed to replace the roof and install the new energy efficient windows, complete the structural work etc. Skilled and semi-skilled volunteers are asked to bring their own carpentry tools. Please be sure to mark your tools with your name and come dressed appropriately for the task you'll be doing (old clothes recommended). Rebuilding Together will provide tee shirts, the Sunrise Rotary will provide breakfast snacks and coffee and lunch.
