Team Building, Part 1

This is a time to have fun and get to know how you interact with people.  The class will learn how to read people by their tone, eyes and words.  You will leave this class with an understanding about how other people best understand, relate to each other and what motivates them.

The National Association of REALTORS® Surround Sound Campaign is designed to help to get the word out to consumers about the opportunities for buyers in today’s housing markets.  The program enables REALTORS® share the real story about their markets and generate authentic optimism with consumers.  The training is designed help you feel comfortable giving presentations, whether it’s to a client or to the public.

Parliamentary Procedures
Facilitator:  Tony Lamb, Principal, A. Lamb Law Office

The Class will be given overview of parliamentary procedures, Roberts Rules of Order, and basic not-for profit business organization.  You’ll learn how to run an effective meeting and receive a briefing on the Association Bylaws and Policies & Procedures.  Also, time will be spent reviewing REALTOR® Association structure at the local, state and national levels including committees, leadership roles, RPAC, etc.

Mike Anderson will be back to work with the group in Team Building, Part II.  The class will take a look at the changes in group dynamics since the beginning of the Leadership Program.

January 27-28, 2010   
VAR Legislative and Leadership Days
8:30am – 1:00pm, Vermont State Capitol, Montpelier
You’ll attend the Vermont Association of REALTORS® (VAR) Legislative and Leadership Days in Montpelier.  You will be briefed on critical issues affecting REALTORS®, attend legislative meetings and have lunch with your local elected representatives.

February 9, 2010   
Graduation
Graduation will be held in conjunction with a General Membership Meeting.  The class will pick a spokesperson who will tell those attending what the program is about, what they did, etc.
